ActiShadow
See the AI your clients' staff are already using.
Employees at your clients are adopting AI tools with no IT visibility. ActiShadow will show you who uses what, and is planned to flag sensitive data before it leaves and apply your allow-or-block policy.
Built for: MSPs that need to see and govern their clients' use of AI tools.
See every AI tool in use
You'll know which AI apps and sites each client's staff use, such as ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Copilot, Grok and Perplexity, who uses them, and how often.
Catch data at the prompt (planned)
At launch, ActiShadow is planned to check prompts and uploads for Social Security numbers, card numbers, API keys, credentials and other personal or health data before they are submitted, then block or flag them under your policy.
A service you can bill
Turn AI risk into a managed service. Usage will be billed per monitored user, per client company, rolling up to your MSP account, with reports you can bring to client reviews.
One console across every client
You'll manage every client company from one console, with strict data isolation between them. Each client's own IT admin will see and manage policy for their company only.
Allow or block, client by client (planned)
You'll set allow and block rules for each client, department or user, and the desktop agent will apply them on the device. When an employee hits a rule, ActiShadow will be able to show them a warning in the moment instead of a silent block.
The content stays on the device
Detection will run on the device. The agent will report only the category it found, such as "SSN pattern detected", never the prompt or file itself. Each AI interaction will be recorded with the app, user, time, policy outcome and the data types detected, ready for usage and security reports by department, app or user.
Deploys the way you already deploy
The Windows desktop agent will go out through your RMM or MDM. For clients without one, you'll be able to send employees an installer link by email or push a Group Policy package to domain-joined machines. A macOS agent and Microsoft 365 identity mapping will follow.
Questions
Before you start
What is ActiShadow?
A multi-tenant platform, coming soon, that will show MSPs which AI tools their clients' employees use. Allow-and-block policies and checks that stop sensitive data reaching public AI tools are planned for launch.
Does it collect what employees type?
No. The agent will check prompts and uploads on the device and report only the category it detected, never the raw prompt or file content.
What sensitive data does it detect?
At launch it will use pattern-based detection for Social Security numbers, credit card numbers, API keys and credentials, and other personal and health data patterns. Pattern matching can miss unstructured confidential text, so smarter classification is planned for a later phase.
Which devices does it run on?
Windows first. You'll deploy it through your RMM or MDM, by an emailed installer link, or with a Group Policy package. A macOS agent will follow.
How is it billed, and when can I get it?
It will be billed per monitored user, per client company, rolling up to your MSP account. ActiShadow is still being built. Join the waitlist and we'll tell you the day it launches.
